Contracts are recurring jobs your VTC takes on for extra income. To start one you put up a refundable deposit. Your members then deliver matching cargo, and when the contract is completed in time the deposit comes back in full plus a fixed reward paid into the VTC bank.
How a contract plays out
- Activate - put up the deposit for the tier you are on. The deposit grows with each tier (see the ladder below) and is held from the VTC bank straight away.
- Deliver - members run qualifying loads until the contract reaches its required number of deliveries.
- Complete - the deposit is returned in full, plus the tier's fixed reward. You can stop there or put up the next (larger) deposit to take on the next tier.
- Fail or expire - if the time window runs out unfinished, the deposit is forfeited. That lost deposit is the only penalty; there is no extra fine.
So a contract you complete never costs you anything - you get the deposit back and the reward on top. A contract you abandon costs you its deposit.
Payout
Completing the required deliveries pays a fixed reward into the VTC bank. The amount is set by the tier - it is the same no matter how big or profitable the individual jobs were, so every qualifying delivery counts equally. The moment you hit the target the contract pays out and closes; extra loads on the same contract add nothing more. Your deposit is returned on top of the reward.
The tier ladder
Every category runs a ladder from tier 1 to tier 5. You start each week at tier 1 and climb one tier for every contract you complete in that category. Higher tiers ask for more deliveries and a larger deposit, but pay a bigger reward.
| Tier | Deposit (refundable) | Deliveries | Reward |
|---|---|---|---|
| Tier 1 | ƒ10,000 | 5 | ƒ35,000 |
| Tier 2 | ƒ20,000 | 7 | ƒ60,000 |
| Tier 3 | ƒ30,000 | 9 | ƒ80,000 |
| Tier 4 | ƒ40,000 | 11 | ƒ100,000 |
| Tier 5 | ƒ50,000 | 13 | ƒ120,000 |
- Completing a tier unlocks the next one immediately; it is up to you whether to take it.
- Failing a contract does not advance you - you stay on the same tier.
- The ladder resets to tier 1 every Monday, and the minimum distances re-randomise (roughly 500-1250 km), so the climb starts fresh each week. A contract still running across the reset finishes on its own terms.
Qualifying deliveries
Deliveries count automatically toward an active contract - there is no manual claiming. A delivery qualifies when:
- the cargo belongs to the contract's category;
- it covers at least the minimum distance shown on the contract card;
- it is driven on the Masterclass or Realistic board;
- it is actually delivered (not cancelled or left unfinished).
Every member's deliveries feed the same active contract, so the whole company can chip in.
Slots
Every VTC can run up to 3 contracts at the same time - the same for every company, with nothing to buy or level up. Completing or dropping a contract frees a slot for another (a short cooldown applies after a drop or failure).
Expiration & cooldown
- Contracts run for a fixed window of 7 days. Finish in time and the deposit returns with your reward; let it expire unfinished and the deposit is forfeited.
- After a contract fails or is dropped, that category sits on a short cooldown before you can start another: 48h if no deliveries were made, 24h if there was some progress.
Tip: a garage with a matching specialisation boosts each driver's own job pay for cargo of that type. It does not change the contract reward, which is a fixed per-tier amount.
